Festivities in Watford with a Felltarn Friends Trail
Watford BID wanted a way to celebrate the festive season and contacted us about a trail. It was great for us to go to Watford, to spend a couple of days in the town centre, meeting with the BID managers and chatting to their businesses about taking part in a Festive Trail.
We were pleasantly surprised at just how easy it was too engage with business owners and get them on board with the Watford Festive Trail concept! They immediately saw the benefit of having a fun, child-centred activity bringing families to their windows, and how they could then entice new customers inside their premises with a special offer or treat for the kids. Brilliant!
The Creative Process
A map supplied by Watford BID that was used as a basic starting point, we were then able to create a gorgeous, colourful and child friendly trail in the unique and instantly recognisable Felltarn style.
We used the Felltarn Friends characters dresses as Angels and Elves as the theme for the Watford Festive Trail. The glossy A3 cut outs of the Felltarn Friends were placed throughout the town centre in shop windows. With 16 characters to find, as well as bonus Rudolphs and, of course, Trail Treats, our Watford Christmas Trail was an absolutely brilliant family day out!
As always, we filled the reverse of the trail with an array of bright, fun, engaging and suitably themed puzzles, games and activities. Additional information about festive events in Watford were advertised in the space available to ensure the trail was incorporated into the town’s programme of events.
Our trails are a brilliant way to get the public engaging with you town’s shops and service providers, and have been tried and tested to show an increase in footfall and engagement throughout the BID zone.
