We have been extremely busy with bespoke design projects lately (you’ve probably noticed all the Egyptian designs that Claire’s been creating!) And we’ve had another exciting project on the go, but this one is a little closer to home.
Everyone must be familiar with the multitude of Country House Hotels all over the Lake District. They are hugely popular attractions in themselves: beautiful, grand, historic, and many boasting world renowned dining experiences with picturesque Lake District views. Perfect!
One of our favourites is Holbeck Ghyll at the northern end of Windermere. I could go on about the fascinating arts and crafts décor and design, the stunning views, the wonderful service, the beautiful spa, the gorgeous rooms, the amaaaaaazing food! But I won’t..!
We were very excited to be approached by Holbeck Ghyll to create a cute character for their younger guests, to go in a little activity bag for them. The brief was to design a bespoke mascot to feature in an activity booklet for children to enjoy while their families are dining.
We threw around some ideas, Claire started sketching, and before we knew it Holbie Hedgehog was born! He now belongs to Holbeck Ghyll and you can find him in their activity bags that we’ve put together as a unique children’s package.
The Felltarn country-chic design style lends itself perfectly to the feel of Country House Hotels, so we are more than delighted to be included in the array of wonderful offerings Holbeck Ghyll has available to its guests.
