Morecambe and Kendal BIDs joined forces (pun intended!) to work together and create a summer trail that celebrated both towns – and feature their respective Armed Forces Day celebrations.
These bright and colourful maps engage with families and keep them entertained while exploring the town. We incorporated the various sports on offer within the Armed Forces as well as some little characters in the Army, Navy and RAF uniforms.
To encourage footfall from Kendal to Morecambe and vice-versa we came up with a STAR QUESTION for each town, with the answer strategically placed somewhere along the trail in the other town! This way we are encouraging additional engagement with a wider audience, giving BID businesses an ever increasing footfall.
This joint project between the two neighbouring BIDs allowed an element of the design fee to be split. It’s the first time we’ve combined two location with a common theme and with the launch date fast approaching we are excited to see families interact between the two towns.
